Kevin M. Shah journey began with a small family business, tiny to be exact. Over next 2 & half decades took his company’s business to a point of such attraction, that unsolicited, in 2017, the company was approached by a Swedish MNC, listed on NASDAQ - for a buyout! He was thrust into early responsibility of heading the family company at the very tender age of 24, after completing his education as an Industrial Engineer at University of Houston. That happened due the untimely demise of his father, at a time when the Indian Industry was struggling to find its feet. With no siblings to shoulder the responsibility, the managing director's slot with no real experience was overwhelming. The business was also not easy, that of manufacture of technically intensive equipment used in Chemical Process Industry namely Petroleum Refineries, Petrochemical Complexes, Fertilizer & Chemical Units, Power Plants, etc. He sought the guidance from wherever & whoever be they friends, relatives, peers & seniors.  Due to his dynamism, he was quick to learn the tricks of the trade and soon expanded his business. A journey that began with just 5 empoyees & a handful workmen, he grew his business steadily, only to face a crisis & certain life changing events. Getting some paradigm shift, he began some experimentations. Key was his desire to cross-share the learnings from within the office to the outside world & the knowledge gained from outside to his team at work - that proved to be rather unique. Such experimentation did pay off, as it resulted into an internal alignment amongst employees & workmen that gave the desired result & messaging, eventually attracting the buyer of his business. Post selling the business, he headed the MNC’s Indian operation till March '20 and after the hand holding period, he is now keen to share his experiential gains gathered over the years, to guide SMEs, start ups & young business school students alike, as an entrepreneur's mentor, coach & guide.
