The Department of Mechanical Engineering at DRIEMS is affiliated with the University of Mumbai and approved by DTE and AICTE. Our comprehensive course curriculum equips students with the advanced knowledge and abilities required in this diverse and enduring engineering field.
Mechanical Engineering combines the art and science of designing, developing, and managing systems and components such as fluid dynamics, material science, thermodynamics, and kinematics. Mechanical engineers apply these fundamental principles, along with tools like computer-aided design (CAD) and product lifecycle management, to design, analyze, and manufacture various equipment.

SYLLABUS FOR B.E IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
LABS
Our Lathe Machine Lab 1 is equipped with state-of-the-art lathe machines that provide students with hands-on experience in precision machining. This lab allows students to learn and practice turning, facing, and threading operations, fundamental skills for any mechanical engineer.
The Drill Machine Lab is designed to teach students the essentials of drilling and related operations. Featuring a variety of advanced drill presses and equipment, this lab helps students master techniques such as drilling, reaming, and tapping, ensuring they are well-prepared for industry challenges.
The Engineering Drawing Room is a dedicated space where students develop their technical drawing and drafting skills. Equipped with drawing boards, this lab enables students to create precise engineering drawings, which are critical for effective communication and documentation in the engineering field.
Lathe Machine Lab 2 offers additional capacity and resources to further enhance students’ machining skills. Similar to Lathe Machine Lab 1, this lab provides extensive opportunities for students to work on more complex projects, reinforcing their understanding of lathe operations and machinery maintenance.
