Degree Program Eligibility Criteria for First Year Engineering
Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate
The candidate should be an Indian National.
Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational subject, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies.
Obtained at least 45% marks (40% for Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section, and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
The candidate should have appeared in all subjects in MHT-CET 2023 and obtained a non-zero score, or passed a Diploma in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% for the specified categories).
All India Candidature Candidates, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates
The candidate should be an Indian National.
Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational subject, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies.
Obtained at least 45% marks in the above subjects taken together.
Should obtain a non-zero positive score in JEE Main (BE/B.Tech) or have appeared in all subjects in MHT-CET 2023 and obtained a non-zero score.
Preference shall be given to candidates obtaining a non-zero positive score in JEE Main (B.E./B.Tech) over those who obtained a non-zero score in MHT-CET 2023.
Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% for specified categories).
Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry) Engineering
The candidate should be an Indian National.
Passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% for Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section, and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the appropriate branch from an AICTE or Central or State Government approved institution or its equivalent.
Passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC or Association of Indian Universities recognized university with at least 45% marks (40% for specified categories) and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject.
Students in this category shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second year subjects.
Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.
In the above cases, a suitable bridge course, if required, such as in Mathematics, may be conducted.
Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.
