How to Apply

Candidates are advised to follow the rules for admission to First Year Engineering and rules for direct admission to Second Year Engineering. degree course as published by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharshtra State from time to time. However some of the basic guidelines are given below.

Eligibility Criteria for the first year of engineering

1. Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidate :
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology /Biology/ Technical Vocational subject
AND
Secured minimum 50 % marks (minimum 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject added together.
AND
Obtained a positive Composite score* i.e., score obtained after adding 50% of JEE (Main) 2017 (Paper 1) marks percentile and 50% of Standard XII (Board or Equivalent Examination) Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics marks percentile.
Note: -1) * - Refer Rule No 2.12 for the details for calculating positive Composite score.
           2) Refer Rule No 2.11 regarding Rounding off of percentage of marks for deciding the eligibility, if applicable.

2. Eligibility Criteria for All India Candidates (Maharashtra & OMS):
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology /Biology /Technical Vocational subject
AND
Secured minimum 50 % marks (minimum 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the subjectsPhysics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject added together.

3. For the candidates wishing admission under Management Quota :

Candidates from Maharashtra State as well as from outside Maharashtra State having Educational Qualification as specified in the Para "Eligibility Criteria for the first year of engineeringt" are eligible for Management Quota (20%) seats. However, they are required to apply separately to the Management of the respective institutes for these seats.

Eligibility Criteria for the Diploma holder candidates :

After admitting candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria mentioned at para (1, 2, 3) above, if the vacancies still exists after the cut off date declared by the concerned Government authority, the Principal may admit diploma holders who have passed the diploma course in Engineering / Technology affiliated to MSBTE or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks against these vacancies. Such admissions are also as per merit of candidates applied for the particular un-aided college.
